Wポケットベスト CACAO

ゆったりとした身幅ですが、脇のタブでボリュームを調整することが可能です。丈も通常サイズよりも少し長めにデザインしています。細めのボトムやギャザースカートなど、裾にボリュームがあるスタイルリングも素敵です。ジャケットと共通のW ポケットがアクセントでありポイントとなっています。

チョコレートを製造する工程で廃棄されるカカオの殻から染料を抽出し、着物や帯、大きな旗などを染める際に用いられる「引染め」という技法を使って布を染めています。「引染め」の特徴は、生地の染め上がりに表裏が出ることや、柄を施した際に柔らかな線あがりになる点です。濃い色の染色が出来やすい利点もあります。

CACAO染めのきっかけとなったのが、鹿児島で Bean to barを作る「kiitos」さんとの出会いでした。

The fabric of this vest is dyed with a technique called “Hikizome”
which is used for dyeing kimonos, obi, or large flags with a
dye extracted from cocoa shells discarded during a chocolate
manufacturing process. The unique characteristics of Hikizome
technique are, by dyeing as if drawing lines on the outside
fabric with a brush, the pattern on the outside and inside fabric
will appear differently after dyeing, and a pattern of soft lines it
creates. It’s easier to create deep dyeing colors with Hikizome
technique, and that is also one of the advantages of this
technique.This vest has wide body width, but it can be adjusted
with the tabs on the sides, and the length is designed slightly
longer than the standard length. It would be great to style it with
slim leg pants or a voluminous hem such as a gathered skirt, and
the double pocket which our Double Pocket Jacket also has is
the accent and the key feature of this vest.
