V TOP（CACAO / WARA）

厚手の綿リネンを「引染め」という技法で染め上げました。
「引染め」の特徴は、生地の染め上がりに表裏が出ることや、柄を施した際に
柔らかな線あがりになる点です。濃色の染色が出来やすい利点もあります。

今回この生地に出会い「引染め」との相性が良さそうな所からこの商品がスタートしました、着心地とは少し離れるかもしれませんが太い番手の生地の可愛さと大ぶりなデザイン、何度も着て洗って生まれてくる風合いを想像しながら極力デザインしない服をイメージし、直線が多い服にしました。

こちらの商品は、廃棄されるCACAOの殻から染料を抽出し、着物や帯、大きな旗などを染める際に用いられる
「引染め」という技法を使って布を染めています。

「捨てるものから、生まれるものもある」その思いに賛同しCACAOの殻をご提供いただいたのが

This top made of a thick cotton linen fabric is dyed with a technique called “Hikizome” (brush dyeing). The unique characteristics of hikizome technique are, by dyeing as drawing lines on the outside fabric with a brush, the pattern on the outside and inside fabric will appear differently after dyeing, and a pattern of soft lines it creates. It’s easier to create deep dyeing colors with hikizome technique, and that is also one of the advanteges of this technique. This product was created with the inspiration that came when I found this fabric and thought it would go well with hikizome technique. It may be a little different from comfort, but it’s created by imagining the cuteness of a fabric made of thick yarn, oversized design, and the textures that will come out after wearing and washing it many times. Also, the idea was not to design a clothes as much as possible to create a clothes that has many straight lines.
